David is a planner and landscape designer with more than 20 years of experience in land development across Texas. He holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, and is accredited by the Congress for the New Urbanism.

His career spans city government, private development, and national homebuilding, from land acquisition and zoning policy to master planning and entitlements. He has drafted zoning regulations adopted by the City of San Antonio, and in 2015 he founded the Earthen Construction Initiative, a nonprofit promoting earthen building.

Through SeeingBird, David helps Texas property owners get more from their land: ADUs, development consulting, landscape design, and incremental compressed earth block homes that can grow with a family.
